Last night we also went to the Library of Congress to pay tribute to the leadership of Dr. James Billington and celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Open World Leadership Center he founded. It administers Open World, an effective US exchange program with post-Soviet countries. We snapped Sen. Roger Wicker, Center for Food Safety’s Elizabeth Kucinich, her husband former Rep. Dennis Kucinich, and Rep. Robert Aderholt and his wife Caroline.

Guests snacked on crab cakes and toasted tulips with black grapes while sipping wine in gold lined glasses. Here, OLGCHS’ Jeanette McCarthy and her husband MoCo State Attorney John McCarthy with PG County’s Dept. of Correction’s Mary McDonough.

An Evening of Music and Friendship featured a beautiful six-piece orchestra during the reception and famed pianist Valentina Lisitsa and Grammy Award-winning violist Kim Kashkashian during dinner. Here, Sen. Roger Wicker’s office’s Ellen Beares, Joseph Lai, Sarah Drake and Will Kline.
