Sunday night we went to the Kennedy Center Concert Hall for the National Symphony Orchestra's Opening Ball.

We snapped Councilmember Jack Evans, NSO patron and board VP Cherrie Doggett, former Councilmember David Catania, and Kennedy Center Chairman David Rubenstein.

Guests dined on a caprese salad with pan seared arctic char and Moroccan spiced chicken. Here, Kennedy Center president Deborah Rutter is surrounded by her husband, Peter Elefson, and Kennedy Center's Robert Pullen.

There were special performances by acclaimed percussionist Martin Grubinger and vocalist Sutton Foster. Here, Pennie Abramson, former MD Attorney General Doug Gansler and his wife, Laura Gansler.

Following the performance, we headed to the tented ball on the north promenade of the Kennedy Center. Here, NSO patrons Ginny and Irwin Edlavitch join Bialek Environments owner and NSO board VP Joan Bialek.

The Ball featured a beautiful seated dinner, open bar, live music and dancing. Here, HII-Finance Corp's Samia Farouki, NSO patron Wilma Bersteinand NSO board director Rose Carter.

Following the dinner program, Opening Ball event chairs Elise and Marc Lefkowitz raffled off a 5 Star trip to Seattle and a 35 carat sapphire ring.
