Last night we also stopped by the Hay Adams Hotel to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), and the induction of its 1 millionth member. We snapped NSCS Founder Stephen Loflin flanked by Korn/Ferry International’s Jeff Summer, Biouic’s Anne Berkowitch, and by America’s Promise Alliance's David Park.

The night’s theme: Trust your crazy ideas. Stephen says he came up with the “crazy idea” for NSCS in 1994 while cooking a lasagna dinner for friends; swag bags included cooking spatulas with this motto on the handle. Here, Track Maven's Allen Gannet, Engage Inbox’s Trever Faden, Kellie Boyle, and Boyle Public Affairs’ James Boyle.

Speakers included General Colin Powell, and former Education Dept. advisor Michael Robbins, right; he’s with NSCS’ Verelyn Gibbs Watson, Sean Watson, Alpha Sigma Nu’s Kate Gaertner, Laura Taddeucci Downs, and Heather Hauck.
