Last night we went to The Newsbabes Bash for Breast Cancer at The Powerhouse in Georgetown to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer.

It began in 2009 when a group of good friends in TV news got together for the cause. We snapped the night’s sponsor, Glassman Wealth Services founder Barry Glassman, bookended by two of the Newsbabes, NBC4’s Eun Yang, and Fox 5’s Shawn Yancy.

Dr. Jill Biden spoke about the importance of listening to your body and paying attention to the small things. She also praised the night’s beneficiary, SOS, Survivors Offering Support.

WJLA 7’s Rebecca Cooper and NBC4’s Angie Goff. The place was packed with hundreds of men and women wearing pink; all the cocktails were pink; and there were pink deserts, although our fave treat was the caramelized bacon.
