We headed to West Potomac Park for Events DC's annual Nations Triathlon! We snapped the overall winner, Michael Phinney, as he crossed the finish line with an amazing time of 1:35:37, almost a full three minutes ahead of second place.
The annual race had more than 3,000 competitors, but unfortunately had to cancel the swim portion of the event because of unsafe bacteria levels in the Potomac River. When will the DMV region band together to clean up this vital waterway? Here, members of the YMCA National Capitol Area Team, otherwise known as YTri, kick up their heels after a successful race.
