N Street!

Last night we headed to the West End Ritz for the N Street Village 40th Anniversary Gala.

We snapped Honorary Steering Committee co-chairs MO Senator Roy Blunt and his wife Abigail Blunt with Altria’s John Hoel. The inspiring gala had women from N Street programs performing with the band.

Former Studley head Steve Goldstein, former Mayor Anthony Williams, Ambassador Council founder Sunny Alsup, and Unicorn’s Eugene Dewitt Kinlow at the cocktail reception before dinner.

Senators Kelly Ayotte and Kay Hagan were the night’s honorees along with three women who changed their lives through N Street’s programs. Here, i Ricchi owner Christianne Ricchi, Carol Wheeler (wife of FCC chairman Tom Wheeler), and Comcast’s Melissa Maxfield are bookended by Salon Ilo’s Aaron Lichtman and Gary Walker.

Mayor Gray came to support N Street, and hear uplifting performances by Sweet Honey in the Rock and Ambassadors of Praise. Last year, N Street changed the lives of 1,400 homeless and low-income DC women.
