We joined the Shakespeare Theatre Company at the Harman Center, where it held its annual Dinner and Mock Trial of the Man of La Mancha. Here, Justice Stephen Breyer and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg bookend STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn.
The Mock Trial was conceived in 1994 by Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy to explore the connection of classical theater and modern-day law. This year, it presented the trial of Don Quixote, inspired by the Man of La Mancha, with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg presiding. She's surrounded by Judge Patricia Millett and Justice Stephen Breyer, and by Judge Merrick Garland and Judge Amy Berman Jackson.
