MiniSolos at Touchstone!

We went to the MiniSolos Opening Reception at Touchstone Gallery, an artist-owned gallery for 39 years. Guests enjoyed red and white wine and an electric cello performance by Iain Forrest. We snapped Michael Fischerkeller with Touchstone Gallery director Ksenia Grishkova.

Touchstone Gallery's opening celebrated its annual tradition of providing gallery space to 38 mostly local and emerging artists. The juried show, called MiniSolos, lets them show their work in an established gallery. Touchstone's BACK ROOM is also presenting Summer Sampler, an exhibition of small works in all media by Touchstone member artists. Here, abstract impressionist artists Makoa Kibour and Bradley Gay, and fine arts photographer Lisa Allen.

The art is selected not only to show high-quality work, but also to show a wide range of creative expression, from serene to provocative. Here, photography from Lisa Allen: Morning Ritual.

Alfredo Flores & Travis Holler contributed to this issue.
