We went to Range for a party to kick off the ultimate celebrity chef cooking demo event, next weekend's 10th annual MetroCooking DC Show at the Convention Center Oct. 24 and 25. We snapped the women behind the show: Carleigh Smith, Kara Krause and Alexandra Zimmerman.

And speaking of celebrity chefs, here are two: RANGE and VOLT chef Brian Voltaggio whipped up some of his favorite menu items, like the pig face, beef cheeks, torranelli nero, and a chacutterie display. He's with Bayou Bakery chef David Guas.

70 media professionals and foodies got a sneak peek of the show and vendors, like Velatis, which displayed its caramels and toffees, and Tessemae's, which served tastings of its honey mustard and balsamic dressings. Here, NBC4's Jason Gittlen and Matt Glassman, and Greg's List DC's Greg O'Neill.
