Maxime’s!

We went to Georgetown’s newest restaurant, Maxime’s, on M Street, at 29th. We snapped two of the three owners, Ben Kirane and Joe Idrissi. Inspired by travels in France, they wanted a French bistro specializing in steak frites. It's informal and fun, with well-priced wines and many classic simple French dishes, from escargot and pate through profiteroles and crème brûlée, and of course, there's the steak and the fries.
