Man and Woman of the Year!

We went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Grand Finale Gala Saturday night at the JW Marriott.

Candidates for its annual Man and Woman of the Year campaign raised a record-breaking $1,810,930, shattering the previous national record of $1.65M. Congrats to the Man and Woman of the Year, Katie Simmons-Hickie and Kevin Rohalmin, for winning the 10-week fundraising competition to fund cancer research.

Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, silent auction sponsored by David Yurman, dinner and program. Here, Matthew Schneider, Ashley Finger, Benji Mashall and Catherine Carlstedt.

The LLS National Capital Area Chapter raised more than any of the 58 US chapters, as it has for 11 out of the past 12 years. Here, InfoRely CEO Russell Weiss and his wife, Jenna, with LLS candidate Leigh Genetti.
