On Friday night we went to Mellon Auditorium for the annual LUNGevity Musical Celebration of Hope Gala as philanthropists, executives and policymakers supported lung cancer research and programs to save lives and offer new hope. We snapped Empress Farah Pahlavi of Iran with patron Annie Totah.

Lung cancer survivor and advocate Kimberly Rene Mitchell was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer nine years ago and is cancer free because of new FDA treatments. She's surrounded by her daughter, American University's Carly Mitchell, and LUNGevity president Andrea Ferris.
