Louisiana Oysters!

Last night we also went to the 20th annual Let the World Be Your Oyster reception hosted by the Gulf Oyster Industry Council at Acadiana restaurant. Guests were treated to the finest Louisiana oysters, served by visiting chefs from across Louisiana. We snapped P&J Oyster Company prez Alfred Sunseri and Collins Oyster Co.’s Wilbert Collins.

Guests indulged in a smorgasbord of oysters on the half shell, pickled oysters, and oysters voisin. Here, Cotton’s Cory Bahr and Acadiana’s Brant Tesky.

Earlier GOIC had “Walked the Hill” to educate government officials on the concerns of Lousiana’s seafood community. Here, Congressional staffers Benjamin Bradley and Sara Decker bookend Gulf State Marine Fisheries Commission’s Dave Donaldson, Gulf Seafood Institute’s Bob Gill, and Florida Fish and Wildlife’s David Apil.
