The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society held its annual awards celebration for its Light the Night campaign, which raised $3.1M in 2016 for blood cancer research. Groups around the region participated last fall in three night walks — one in Maryland, one in Virginia and one in the District — last October. The top fundraising team was from Salesforce, above, who together brought in $232k for research for cures for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.
