This Saturday, April 30, from 12-8 PM, the 7th annual Kingman Island Bluegrass & Folk Festival celebrates spring and community. Our personal fave, Magic Giant, plays at 5:40 PM. 40 bands play all afternoon on six stages on a beautiful island on the Anacostia River behind RFK Stadium. Proceeds benefit Living Classrooms' educational programs and Kingman Island maintenance. DC's biggest & best folk festival also has Spirit family, Reunion, top food trucks, free kayaking, giveaways, and kids activities.
