Kevin Bacon and his brother Michael gave a surprise pop-up show Saturday at the Girard Children's Community Garden in Columbia Heights.
They teamed with City Blossoms, a nonprofit fostering healthy communities using gardening, food and art to develop creative, kid-driven green spaces. Here, Michael and Kevin Bacon are bookended by City Blossoms co-executive directors Rebecca Lemos-Otero and Lola Bloom.
The Bacon Brothers Band performed a short set for 40 staff, volunteers and kids from the neighborhood. The band did this pop-up show between their three shows in Alexandria.
