We headed to GW's Jack Morton Auditorium to hear from Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper as part of Politics & Prose's Newsmakers Series in collaboration with George Washington University. We snapped him with former Congresswoman, now Wilson Center CEO, Jane Harman discussing his memoir, The Opposite of Woe: My Life in Beer and Politics. The governor was incredibly candid about his life and career before and after he entered the political arena, especially about the difficulties in starting and running his own small business and how that experience gave him insight when making decisions that affect both businesses and workers. He also talked about the partisanship plaguing DC and the nation.
