Interstellar!

Last night we went to the Air and Space Museum for the DC premiere of Interstellar. The Paramount picture stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, all of whom were there.

Set at Earth’s end, Interstellar follows a team of explorers undertaking the most important mission ever: traveling beyond this galaxy to find a suitable place for human life. We snapped its star, Matthew McConaughey.

Because it’s Matthew McConaughey, we’re violating our one picture per issue rule and including him with director/producer/co-screenwriter Christopher Nolan, known for some of the biggest blockbusters ever, such as Inception and the Batman franchise, and his co-producer and wife Emma Thomas.

The film draws viewers in by focusing on the relationship between a father and his daughter which, Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain told us, celebrates the connections that sustain us. She also said she appreciated Nolan’s creating her character as emotional and intelligent, because most women in films are not allowed to be both. She added that when President Obama shed tears, it was considered a sign of honor, but when Hillary Clinton did, it was a sign of weakness.

Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway plays a scientist lost in space opposite McConaughey’s character on a mission to save the human race. Interstellar was filmed on IMAX film stock and is now open in theaters everywhere.
