Last night we went to the Australian Embassy for a reception in honor of the upcoming Marking the Infinite: Contemporary Women artists from Aboriginal Australia exhibition at the Phillips Collection. We snapped Australian Ambassador Joe Hockey with exhibit patrons Debra and Dennis Scholl.

Guests enjoyed wine and passed hors d'oeuvres, including delicious grilled lamb chops. Here, Phillips Collection patrons Tom Henteleff and interior designer Barbara Hawthorn bookend the Collection's Lizzie Temme and Charlotte Mikk.

The new exhibition will tour North America with works by nine indigenous Australian women. Here, Australian Congressional Liaison Peter Heyward and his wife, Susan Heyward, join consultant Larry Irving.

Guests were treated to live music by Biliirr, which translates to "Black Cockatoo," who performed several indigenous Australian songs.
