We headed to the brand new Hamiltonian's H-Space in Shaw for the opening reception of the Illuminations and Impressions art exhibition. We snapped CUA's Rob Silbaugh with Coca-Cola's Chloe Stewart, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind CEO Anthony J. Cancelosi and Mark Morozowich, the dean of CUA's School of Theology.

“Illuminations and Impressions” is an exhibition of art and design created by people who are blind or have low vision. This exhibition is a project of Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, designed and installed in collaboration with students from the Master of Arts in Exhibition Design program at the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design at The George Washington University. Here, CLB board chairman Paul Rothenburg joins the National Industries For The Blind executive vice president Angela Hartley and CLB chief operating officer Kim Alfonso.

Attendees heard firsthand from several of the artists and the director of the new art space. Here, featured artists Erika York and Sharnita “Shugg” Smoot.

During the reception, attendees enjoyed a spread of appetizers and wine. Here, GWU's Corcoran School of the Arts and Design program head Clare Brown joins H-Space Gallery program manager Nicole Dowd with DTR Modern Gallery's Rodrigo Yano and Smithsonian's Freer and Sackler Gallery's Ryan King.
