Thursday, we went to Children’s Health Board's fourth annual Hoops Madness fundraiser at Longview Gallery. We snapped Caleb Davy with his parents Fred and Monica. Caleb was born with cerebral palsy and suffered from renal disease, but none of that deterred this Wilson High School student from riding the Metro on his own, going on cross-country vacations, camping, playing basketball, golf, archery, fishing or horseback riding. For his inspiring story, he was the recipient of the Young Person of the Year Award.
More than 300 guests enjoyed the NCAA first round-games shown on big-screen TVs, opportunities for networking, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and live and silent auctions.
