Last night we also went to the Kennedy Centers Eisenhower Theater to see The Washington Ballets world premiere show Hemingway: The Sun Also Rises. It has a roarin 20s score, top-notch sets to match flapper costuming, and innovative dancing. If youve been scared to see ballet, go.

We snapped the acclaimed authors descendant, Weekly Standards Mark Hemingway (right) with YPMs Jeff Yorke--whos bringing PG County its first Whole Foods, Tracey Toscana, and Mark's wife religion reporter Mollie Hemingway.

After the show we headed to the residence of the European Union AmbassadorJoao Vale de Almeida, to listen to live piano while munching on salmon frittata and sipping wine. The house is stunning; the yard and pool even better. Hes with his wife Ana Jara De Carvalho (who tells us thats the very short version of her Portuguese name), MPAA CEO Sen.Chris Dodd, and CongressmanRobert Aderholt with his wife Caroline.

The unworldly fast flamenco troupe was a show-stopper. The performance had such a creative, fast pace that we barely noticed it only had a few superscript lines to tell the classic tale. Here, Asset Alliances Billy Marcus and its CEO Bruce Lipnick with three dancers: Fernanda Oliveira, Ariana Ciccarelli, and Bruces daughter Olivia Lipnick, who hurt her shoulder mid-performance doing a cartwheel, but will still dance for the remaining six shows.
