This past Saturday, over 10,000 people came to the American Heart Association's Greater Washington Region Heart Walk on the National Mall. The day featured a noncompetitive, three-mile or one-mile walk, open to teams and individuals. Festivities included a special performance by classic rock band The Scarlet Letters, Zumba, a Kids Zone and the annual dog parade. Here, the event's largest Friends and Family Fundraising Team: Team Kaelyn's Kause! This team honors heart transplant recipient and HLHS survivor Kaelyn, age 12.
