We walked for change Saturday at the Greater Washington Region Heart Walk on the National Mall. In the American Heart Association's VIP tent, we met some incredible survivors and supporters like AHA director of individual giving Anitha Raj and her husband K Raj. Anitha was celebrating the two year anniversary of her heart transplant, a technology that was not available five years ago.

AHA is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat cardiovascular diseases--the nation's No.1 killer. Over 8,000 walkers from 140 companies raised $2M. Here, Adventist Healthcare’s Victor Sarmiento and Fred Wynne flank Maximus’ Jesse Torrence and Oana Cheta.
