Saturday, Merriweather Post Pavilion celebrated its 50th anniversary with a concert featuring a star-studded lineup of Jackson Browne, Willie Nelson, Father John Misty and Grace Potter. In honor of the occasion, the Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission invited friends of Merriweather to join in a pre-concert celebration with an MPP-shaped cake made by the famous Duff Goldman's Charm City Cakes. The pre-concert birthday party was held at The Chrysalis at Merriweather Park, where guest enjoyed a beer and wine open bar and light fare, followed by the concert. Proceeds from the party went to support the Downtown Columbia Arts and Culture Commission’s work to expand artistic, cultural and community programming at Merriweather Post Pavilion and throughout Downtown Columbia.
