GLOW!

Friday night we kicked off the holiday season with a private opening reception for the new Georgetown GLOW, a curated outdoor exhibition of modern light-art installations organized by Georgetown BID. We snapped its rep Josh Hermias, House of Sweden’s Cecilia Browning, Georgetown Suites’ Crystal Sullivan and gallery owner Susan Calloway.

The work of seven local, regional and international artists is featured throughout the neighborhood in public and privately owned spaces. One artist decorated a church with different lights; Jason Peters decorated the buckets in Jefferson Court with lights. He’s with Georgetown BID’s Erin Higgins and curator Deirdre Ehlen MacWilliams.

Guests snacked on oysters, bruschetta and red velvet cake while they chatted with artists whose work was projected on the walls. Here, RB Properties’ May Khoury and Ted Vogel surround baby Piper, Western Development’s Shirley Tadeo and Paige Grzelak, and Radius Network’s Dan Estrada.
