Global Camps Africa!

We went to the Newseum for the Global Camps Africa benefit and silent auction. We snapped founder Phil Lilienthal and supporter Pam Barnes (right) with Pulitzer Prize-winning author and the evening's speaker, Sheryl WuDunn. There was a large silent auction and a live auction that included two round-trip tickets to South Africa.

Founded in the belief of the power of camp, it provides South African youth with education, HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention, and life skills, all in a fun environment. Here, American College of Cardiology's Kent Riffert, DC Preparatory Academy's Keisha Jackson, and Oracle's Deborah Hellinger.

Global Camps supporters Josh Rosenthal and Martha Weiss join Becky and David Nathan during the cocktail reception. Guests enjoyed an open bar with delicious appetizers by Wolfgang Puck's The Source.
