Guests got to hear from Megan Whatton, the manager of The Nature Conservancy’s Habitat Network Project, a citizen science project in conjunction with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and hear how this project relates to urban habitats in Washington, DC. Here, social scientist Denese Neu, Sands Capital Management's Tom Trentman and his brother, Hogan Lovells' Peter Trentman.

Donations made at the event supported the MD/DC Chapter’s urban conservation program, specifically their work on the tree canopy in the District. The Nature Conservancy’s Generation Conservation is a local group of Conservancy supporters who plan events several times a year to help raise awareness for the conservancy and its conservation projects.
