For the Love of Sight!

Last night, we also went to the 12th annual D.C. For the Love of Sight Visionary Awards Dinner at the Ritz-Carlton, which benefits research in prevention, treatments, and cures for vision-robbing retinal diseases affecting 10 million Americans. We snapped the dinner co-chairs, former Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez and his wife Edilia, with the Foundation CDO Jim Minow.

Foundation chair Gordon Gund, his wife and fellow co-founder Llura, with Sachiko Kuno and her husband honoree Dr. Ryuji Ueno.

Honorees enjoyed a private reception in the Ritz-Carlton Art Gallery, followed by a cocktail reception, awards, and dinner. Here, Gina Greer with former Labor Secretary Ann McLaughlin Korologos, who created the event.

Award recipient Dr. Timothy Olsen is bookended by his wife Virginia and Foundation CEO Bill Schmidt.
