Monday, we headed to the National Mall where we joined a couple of thousand of our closest astronomy friends for the National Air and Space Museum's Eclipse Party!

Several thousand eclipse enthusiasts watched the eclipse from the front steps of the National Air and Space Museum, while several hundred others lined up to get a chance to peer into one of the many telescopes outfitted with special lenses for eclipse viewing.
