Dreams for Kids With the Mystics!

We were on the court at the Verizon Center with Dreams for Kids DC for a special sports clinic with the Washington Mystics.

Monumental Sports Foundation partners with DFK every year to host its volunteers and kids with disabilities. DFKDC organizes life-changing activities that empower those kids so they can reach their full potential. We snapped Mystics players Kara Lawson, Kia Vaughn and Tayler Hill with Matthew LeMay.

The athletes spent all afternoon playing, instructing and signing autographs for the aspiring ballers and their families. Here, volunteer, Miss District of Columbia Teen USA Niara Iman, Sidwell basketball player Lia Assimakopoulos and Asante Allen.

By turning adversity into opportunity, the kids are given the confidence that they can achieve their dreams. Here, DFK board member Monumental Sports’ Greg Turner, DFK executive director Glenda Fu, Northwestern Mutual’s Christi Main and participant Bishop Allen.
