Thursday, we went to The Observatory at America's Square, the rooftop event space that overlooks the U.S. Capitol, for the Diner en Blanc pre-event party. We snapped Diner en Blanc event hosts Bryer Davis, Kaitlin Davis Barry and Linda Davis of The Davis Group, and Jamestown’s Suzanne Trevisan, events coordinator for The Observatory.

The taste, sip and shop all things “en blanc” event was a countdown celebration for the main event on Aug. 26: a pop-up picnic at an undisclosed site. In the spirit of the event’s theme, author of Settle Down, Quin Woodward Pu, and Bulldog PR’s Greer Hunter don white from head to toe and enjoy Champagne Jacquart, a sponsor of the event.

Guests perused an array of white clothing and accessories from Rent the Runway, Goorin Bros. and Kendra Scott Jewelry, enjoyed drinks with LIFEWTR and nibbled on hors d’oeuvres from celebrity chef Mike Isabella, who is preparing this year’s picnic baskets. Guests also dropped Jelly Belly champagne bubble candies in their glasses for a fizzy and photogenic effect. The candies and other desserts were made from scratch by The Capital Candy Jar. Here, event sponsors Jamahl King, Randy Jones, Erin Howlette and Lakeisha Medlock from The Lincoln Motor Co.
