DC Veg Fest!

Saturday, we headed to Yards Park for DC Veg Fest 2016! The annual festival put on by Compassion Over Killing highlights animal-friendly foods and products. We snapped DC friends Francesca ValenteJackie KellerZach Wall and Frank Gomez enjoying the delicious vegan food options.

Several thousand people joined the more than 100 food and retail vendors to present alternative options to consuming animal products. Here, supporters Mariana PinheiroMollie Laniado and Layza Souza.

Attendees enjoyed a series of panels that highlighted steps anyone can take to support animal welfare and the environment. Here, sisters Holly and Casey Brown bookend friend Ian Roy.

Many attendees brought their favorite four-legged friends along. Here Washington Humane Society volunteer Kristel Guzman with one of their several dogs available for adoption, Buzz.
