We headed to the Japanese Ambassador's Residence for the D.C. Jazz Festival's Annual Trustee Reception. We snapped D.C. Jazz Festival Chairman Emeritus Michael Sonnenreich with the Japanese Ambassador's wife, Nobuko Sasae, jazz pianist Yoko Miwa, Artistic Director Willard Jenkins, Japanese Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae, D.C. Jazz Festival Chairman Conrad Kenley and Executive Director Sunny Sumter.

D.C. Jazz Fest patrons Ray and Shaista Mahmood join supporter Susan Webb. The annual trustee reception recognizes the supporters and patrons who have supported the Jazz Festival.

The event featured a performance from acclaimed Japanese jazz pianist Yoko Miwa, shown with her instrument in the large performance space in the residence.  

In addition to the performance, guests enjoyed an open bar and delicious Japanese appetizers. Here, Destination DC’s Taylor Osborn-Smith, Kristen Lyman and Carla Harmon enjoying the reception.
