DC Jazz Fest Reception!

Last night we headed to the Swiss Ambassador's Residence in Woodley Park for DC Jazz Fest's annual trustee reception.

The evening brought together members of the diplomatic community and jazz lovers alike to support the DC Jazz Festival. We snapped jazz patrons Shaista Mahmood and Meryl Chertoff surrounding the evening's host, the Swiss Ambassador's wife, Anita Dahinden.

Guests enjoyed a welcome cocktail reception featuring beer, wine and passed appetizers. Here, DC Jazz Fest executive director Sunny Sumter joins board vice chair Michelle Galler, supporter Muneer Kirmani and producer Catherine Wyler.

National Endowment for the Arts’ Katja von Schuttenbach and Ann Meier Baker join board member and NEA Foundation’s Harriet Sanford.

Following the reception, guests headed to a private piano concert with acclaimed jazz artist Jason Moran. Here, Destination DC's Claire Carlin with Kelley Drye's Joe Hoffman and his wife, Margie Hoffman, along with Destination DC's Robin McClain.

Following the performance, guests were treated to a dinner reception featuring traditional Swiss "raclette," which involves the scraping of melted cheese. Here, communications consultant Kristen Hickman joins lawyer Frederic Schwartz and his wife, arts volunteer Jill Nevius.

DC Jazz past-president Michael Sonnenreich with Epstein Becker Green's Cliff Barnes.

Acclaimed jazz pianist Jason Moran performs to the delight of those in attendance.
