We went to the Living Room at The W Hotel to celebrate the winners of FotoDC's Spring Photography Competitions. We snapped HUD's Danielle Garcia, Net App's Newton Liu, Destination DC's Mary Awosika and UMD's Alice Cook.
The photos showcased our city with the theme Faces & Places of DC. We snapped first place winner of the Places of DC competition, Michael Bork, flanked by JML Design's James Lee, and Dovetails and Rabbets Woodcrafts' Steve Engel.
The winning pics are being exhibited in a month-long gallery at The W Hotel and during FotoWeek 2015 at the former Spanish Ambassador's Residence. Here, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's Cleo Deschamps, Emily Albertson, Smithsonian's Grace Lopez and JML Design's Nora Lee.
FotoDC is a nonprofit committed to raising awareness of the power of photography everywhere, in all its forms. Cash prizes and a Lomo'Instant Sanremo Camera were awarded to the winners along with exposure of their work. Here, Hayden Pond, House of Reps' Gary Beck and Henry M. Jackson Foundation's Kyle Self.
