Choral Arts Kickoff!

We headed to Old Town Alexandria for the Choral Arts Society of Washington's Gala Kickoff Reception.

We snapped this year's Gala chair, Leslie Sandoz, with finance co-chair Lexy Kessler-Aronson, artistic director Scott Tucker, finance co-chair Catherine Jones and board chair Nick Smith.

The reception was held in one of Alexandria's most historic homes. Built in 1804, it was originally a bank before becoming the Governor's Mansion of what was then occupied Virginia during the Civil War. Here, supporter Amy Heiden joins the evening's hosts, chief architect of the National Trust for Historic Preservation Ashley Wilson and her husband, ECS-Federal CEO George Wilson.

Guests enjoyed a lavish reception with an open bar and a delicious appetizer spread. We loved the variety of deviled eggs. Here, Scott Tucker and finance chair Lexy Kessler-Aronson, new executive director Tad Czyzewski, and honorary patron and wife of the Swiss Ambassador Anita Dahinden.

During the reception, guests were treated to a short performance from several of the chorus members in attendance. Here, board member and chorus member Ed Hoover joins fellow chorus members Erika Rissi and Matt Garber.

Supporter Iver Kessler joins board and chorus member, MedStar Health's Nadine Wethington with supporter Deborah Smith.

This year's Choral Arts Holiday Concert and Gala will be held on Monday, Dec. 19, at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall. Here, supporter Loran Brueggen Aiken joins the evening's host, George Wilson, with finance chair and Cushman & Wakefield's Catherine Jones, and Bognet Construction's Jennifer Bognet.
