Cherry Blossom Coronation!

Friday night we also went to the JW Marriott downtown for the annual Cherry Blossom Grand Ball and Sushi Reception with the Coronation of Cherry Blossom Queen. We snapped University's Kevin Toohers, his date, Alaska Princess and Georgetown University's Mimi Troxel, with Utah Princess and BYU's Taylor Cooper and her escort, University of Utah's Derrick Curtis. Guests enjoyed a festive evening with sushi tastings, dinner and dancing.

National Cherry Festival's Angela Sayler and National Cherry Queen Chelsea Lajko. The National Cherry Festival is held annually in Traverse City, Michigan, and works in collaboration with the Cherry Blossom festival.

NCSS supporter Janie Clark joins 1999's US Queen, Shannon Kula, with their granddaughter and niece respectively, New York Princess Kaylee Berger, who works for Sen. Chuck Schumer, and her uncle, USMC retired Ron Clark.

The evening started with guests being treated to a sampling of sushi, specially prepared by master sushi chefs from Japan, who used their extraordinary skills to create specialty sushis.
