We headed to a fun evening at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s 29th annual Celebrity Tennis Gala at the McLean Racquet and Health Club for round robin tennis, a silent auction, reception, and dinner. Proceeds go toward a cure for cystic fibrosis, a life-threatening genetic disease that affects lungs and digestive systems. We snapped gala co-chair Kathleen Murphy with very busy Rep. Norm Dicks and his wife Suzie.

During the reception, guests tasted crab avocado bites, mushroom quiche, and potato zucchini, while watching tennis matches of all-time greats, such as Roy Emerson and Marty Riessen. Here, CFF exec director Denise Brownlee, and gala co-chairs Bill Sudow, Alan Holmer, and Chris Leahy.

A delicious buffet was prepared for 200, who ate chicken roulade, braised Dutch oven short ribs, roasted Tuscany vegetables, and tennis-themed shortbread cookies. Here, BAH’s Tatiana Greenwood, UPS’s Ian McCommons, his wife, VSK Law’s Paula McCommons, and The Nature Conservancy’s Paula Alvano.

At the open bar, the gin fizz was the most popular drink. Here, Rep Neal’s Ann Jablon, NAM’s Laura Narvaiz, and Rep Bachus’ Tim Johnson.
