Capital Pride Heroes Gala

Last night we went to the Capital Pride Heroes Gala at the Carnegie Library.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder received the Paving the Way Award, which honors those in public life who have shown courage in advancing LGBT rights. He's bookended by Capital Pride president Bernie Delia and executive director Ryan Bos.

The gala also honored five for their dedication to the LGBT community and two for their support of the Trans community. We snapped Capital Pride's Rob Corbett and Thomas Wieczorek with attorney Pamela Yee.

Capital Pride produces one of the largest Pride Celebrations in the US, with more than 350,000 last year. This year's parade, June 13, marks the 40th year. Here, Miss Capital Pride Ophelia Bottom with Mr. Capital Pride Yarde Noir.
