Book Party!

Last night we also went to the Georgetown home of Eileen Shields West for a book party. We snapped her, far right, with her co-host Paula Carreiro, Caryn Wechsler, the night’s honoree, Azar Nafisi, author of the best seller Reading Lolita in Tehran, who spoke about her new book The Republic of Imagination: America in Three Books, and author Joanne Ackerman.

Eileen’s husband Robin West is with the party’s caterer, David Scribner, who served delicious mini crab cakes, smoked salmon on blinis, and smoked squash on toast. He co-owns Surfside and Jetties and Nellies in Nantucket, which he’s bringing soon to Spring Valley.
