Blue Jeans Ball!

Over the weekend, we also went to the Capital Area Food Bank's 12th annual Blue Jeans Ball at the Marriott Marquis. Guests got to put away their tux and dress in their favorite denim at the Blue Jeans Ball, a top DC charitable event. We snapped USPS' Ashley Silberhorn, MCFRS' John Silberhorm, DOS' Nathan, and Laura Doyel.

Many local restaurants prepared tasty bites for this great cause. Some of our favorites were The Hamilton's smoked duck breast, Jack Rose's pork head fritter, and Cafe Dupont's poached quail egg and proscuitto salad. Here, Del Frisco in Bethesda's Chris Edmiston, GM Rahsaan Stone and Chef Cody Lynch.

After the tasting, guests bid on weekend getaways and concerts in a live auction, then danced the night away to music by The Elastic Waist Band and DJ John Jazz. Here, Live Wire's Ali Virden, Deloitte's Dave Mitchell, and Capital Food Bank's Wessita McKinley and David Poms flanking WeWork's Rachel Wynn.

The Capital Area Food Bank serves over 30,000 people and is DC's largest hunger relief organization. Here, Acqua Al 2 Chef Matt Heinbauer and Gabriel Echeverria, Sotto Chef Keith Cabot, and Ghibellina's Carly Boyce and Chef Jonathan Copeland.
