We went to the 11th annual Blue Jeans Ball for the fight to end hunger, hosted by the Capital Area Food Bank at the Wardman Park Marriott.
The Capital Area Food Bank has been feeding those suffering from hunger in the DC area for over 34 years. They also educate the community about hunger and nutrition. We snapped DC Public Education Fund’s Catherine Townsend and Karen Cowden, Bradley Pine, and L3’s Rob Cowden.
Area restaurants provided tastings for this great cause. Some of our faves were EPIC Smokehouse’s pulled pork sliders, The Palm’s lobster salad, and Ping Pong’s dim sum. Here, TASC’s Diane Hynes, Merrill Lynch’s Jim O’Sullivan and his wife Leslie, and Mary Goodyear.
Zeke’s provided coffee to compliment desserts such as La Tasca’s churros, Melting Pot’s strawberries dipped in chocolate fondue, and PAUL’s macaroons.
