We were thrilled yesterday to join tennis legend Billie Jean King, here with Kastles coach Murphy Jensen, at a luncheon at Joe’s Stone Crab for Kastles sponsors.
In an hour-long conversation with team owner Mark Ein, she shared some of her wisdom: I don’t call it failure; I call it feedback. She said she knew when she was 11 that tennis would be her life’s work, not just playing it, but making it accessible to all: I looked at all the white men in their white shorts and white shoes, and thought, ‘Where’s everyone else?’
