Best of DC!

Last night we also went to Washington City Paper's Best of DC at the Carnegie Library to celebrate the top food industry winners in 300 categories chosen by the paper's readers. We snapped Heather Freeman PR's Lindley Thornburg, FedScoop's Cheryl Romero, DSC's Lacy Wilhoit, and K Street Magazine's Kate Michael.

Each room of the library had a different theme with food and drink; 166,102 voted. Here, Mrs. DC America 2015 Elaine Espinola-Keltz bookended by Mrs. DC America's executive producer Raquel Riley Thomas and Janelle Wright.

We enjoyed tastes from 1905, Hank's Oyster Bar, Right Proper and Cashion's Eat Place. In the VIP room: White Ford Bronco's Gretchen Gustafson, Realty Executives' Sarah Beatty, KRL International's Chris Beatty, and Ris' Erin Socia-Hernandez.

Webs' Deanna Zaucha, Pew Charitable Trusts' Michelle Pike and Occasions Caterers' Shelby Pike. Our faves: Rare Sweets' meyer lemon cake, P.J. Clarke's mini burgers, Duke's Grocery's rye Manhattan, and Tico's scallop ceviche. Entertainment included performances by Ski Johnson, Team Familiar, and '90s cover band White Ford Bronco.

Brainfood and Girls on the Run were this year's benefiting charities. Here, DC Sustainable Energy Utility's Ben Burdick, Giuls Kunkel, Andrew Miller and Christian Placencia.

Merjan Bubernack, Alfredo Flores and Liz Ovits contributed to this issue.
