Bendy Brunch!

We went to the Wonder Bread Factory for the Bendy Brunch by Grip The Mat, which cultivates community through balance by eliminating a choice between having a social life or having a healthy life.

We snapped founders Ashley Braun and Christy Skarulis, who met at yoga teacher training and quit their day jobs to pursue their passion for yoga. Their aim: to form a healthy social scene by having as many people as possible try yoga by making it approachable and out of the studio in cool, less intimidating spaces.

After yoga, we enjoyed a healthy brunch of waffles, salmon, quinoa salad and omelets prepared by celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn, and not-quite-so-healthy mimosas poured by Vino Lovers. Here, Holly Giroux, Dept of Labor’s Emma Laury, Intelliware Systems’ Christa Sperling and XCorp Solutions’ Jessica Borrielli.
