Baguette Relay Race!

Yesterday morning we headed to the 5th Annual Baguette Relay Race in front of the PAUL Bakery in Penn Quarter. We snapped PAUL's Chef/baker Frederic Lafrenoy with relay racers Caden and Alexandra Clark. Racers were divided into teams of four or five people with each racer quick-walking one lap around the circle of the US Navy Memorial, and then handing off his/her baguette (baton) to the next teammate.

Participants begin the baguette relay race. PAUL Bakery was founded in 1889 in Lille, France, and has over 600 bakery/ cafes worldwide, opening its first US flagship store in DC in 2011.
