Sunday, we went to Authors, Cocktails & Conversations at Maga Design in Adams Morgan, which featured a panel discussion with authors Dan Roam, Scott McCloud and Lisa Kay Solomon, whom we snapped above flanking Maga Design CEO and founder Scott Williams, who moderated the panel.

The event feaured a live DJ, real-time interactive art pieces, in-person haiku creation, and group comic book coloring. Here, Maga Design art director Chris Farwell and VP and chief creative officer Rebecca Williams.

Guests enjoyed a savory buffet featuring poached chicken and French carrot slaw on sunflower seed bread, summer tomato and feta cheese and lemongrass shrimp cakes with shredded snow peas; as well as specialty cocktails Floating on a Cloud, Roam Foam and Solomon Slam.
