At the Alzheimer’s Association National Dinner, 950 came from all 50 states. Here, Marshall Gelfand and his daughter Elizabeth Gelfand Stearns get the Sargent and Eunice Shriver Profiles in Dignity Award from Senator Ed Markey for their work with The Judy Fund, started in 2003, in the name of Marshall’s wife, who had just died from the disease. It’s become the fastest-growing family fund in the Association’s history, raising over $5 million.
