Last night we headed to the Kennedy Center for the annual Alvin Ailey Opening Night and Gala.
We snapped gala co-chair Debra Lee with DC Judge Thomas Motley and PR honcho Yolanda Caraway. After a fantastic dance, guests were treated to a three-course meal with chocolate mouse cake for dessert.
Congrats to FedEx VP and gala chair Gina Adams, who raised a record amount for Ailey education programs. She’s bookended by deputy AG for DC Gene Adams and Verizon VP and Ailey board member Tony Lewis.
Marc Manigault and his partner associate artistic director Masazumi Chaya bookend patron Nina Benton. Guests danced to a great live band as the Ailey dancers joined the patrons on the dance floor.
